The 44th Annual Barefoot Open (BFO) is an event not to be missed! This is the longest continually running regatta on Lake Lanier. From the Friday night Skipper’s Meeting to the Sunday afternoon awards ceremony, the two full days of racing for all fleets, and the fantastic parties and food. All of this is on top of one of the best venues for lake racing, plus knowledgeable and experienced race committee (PRO = Chris Webster) and judges, and you have a formula for a great weekend of sailing!

Did someone say PARTY? That’s right! There will be parties on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  The BFO dinner Saturday evening will be catered by Chef Ro Maurer. The menu will consist of Homestyle Southern comfort foods, smoked meats, BBQ, vegetables, casserole, desserts and much more. The entertainment for Saturday evening will be Blues and Rock ‘n Roll band, “The Loose Shoes.” The Barefoot Sailing Club will have a silent auction as well as a raffle for wonderful prizes and more! Be sure to buy your dinner tickets, and pre-order your T-shirts now…you do not want to miss out!
